Here is another beautiful story I was sent “ I remember being three years old, holding the hand of my fifteen month old brother and walking into our new home; new to us because we were adopted together. I remember we were both wearing high top, brown leather shoes, down at the heels, scuffed and with the stitching separating. I was wearing a washed out plaid dress with a white collar and that my brother had on a t-shirt and pants, highwaters, with suspenders. This was 1950. We both were malnourished. Every single thing in my life changed that day. On August 17th I will be 73 years old, thinking of my brother who died this February. Both biological and adopted sets of parents are dead. I no longer have any living natal relatives.” Both works based on this story are Pastel, spray paint and ink on paper mounted on panel 40×30 cm. This was 1950, Nr1 and Nr 3.
Here is one of the most painful stories I received from the readers of @booooooom
Passion Projects is an on-going series funded by @booooooom to put towards a creative idea. From the many proposals received, one of the projects selected was from artist Eliana Marinari. With training in classical drawing and a doctorate in science, Eliana’s unique practice often involves the reinterpretation of conventional genres as a means of challenging our perception of reality.
